Three Best Family Vacations

Three Best Family Vacations

There is no getting away from it, at some point you are going to take the plunge and take the family on that all action trip to Florida. With theme parks, entertainment galore and water parks aplenty to enjoy there is lots to keep the family occupied and of course that brilliant weather to do it all in!

With its reputation as a family friendly destination and with the American services industry bending over backwards to make everybody welcome, it is probably one of the best places to take young ones. And then there is the fact that eating out is relatively cheap and easy with lots of variety, not to mention massive portions. You can choose a holiday home and hire a car to make the most of your time and many houses have the added bonus of a private pool.

Hotels are great too with every convenience for a family. But if you fancy a change from Orlando then why not try going a bit further a field a visit the beaches around Clearwater, Daytona, or spend some time in Miami or the Florida keys or even visit the Everglades and those scary crocodiles, to get back to nature. There is no doubt that Florida has promoted itself as a family friendly destination and what they promise they deliver, American style!

Not too far from the UK and with more than one hundred islands to choose from, Greece offers a wide range of holiday options for the family and a great and friendly welcome from the locals. The family favourite islands of Crete, Corfu, Rhodes and Kos all have resorts ideal for families with safe beaches, lots of family activities and a wide choice of places to eat out and stay. But if you go for the more off the beaten track choices be aware that it might not be as easy to please a picky toddler with the food on offer.

It can be very hot in Greece in the summer and the accommodation you choose had probably better have air-conditioning or you might find yourself wilting fast! However it is the simple pleasures that Greece offers families that will have you coming back time and again. The islands are reached by non-stop flights from all over the UK in around three to four hours and if it is a relaxing beach holiday with perhaps some evening entertainment thrown in, and the occasional baby-sitting service, this could be perfect for you.
